This was part of the now-discontinued Macallan 1824 range which was produced between 2012 and 2018. It focussed on the "natural colour" element of the Macallan six pillars and consisted of the Gold, Amber, Sienna and Ruby.

With the discontinuation of the range, only the Gold expression was retained, transitioning to the entry level of the new Double Cask series.


Amber is exclusively matured in sherry oaks casks from Jerez, delivering full bodied aromas and flavours of fruits: fresh green apples and lemons intertwined with cinnamon and ginger with a subtle oak lingering on the outskirts.
